cleanliness and size of room and bathroom
Arriving at 14.H we were told that we would have to return after 16H as per regulations. We requested at least a place - a sitting room - to wait once we had a long tiresome trip but we were told that it was not possible because it was a private house and the owners needed also their space. After these stressfull moments we were told that exceptionally they would allow us to occupy the room, which by the way was all clean and ready. We found the whole exercise surrealistic and, therefore, lacking of purpose.Breakfast was very frugal.

Good food, clean rooms, family atmosphere.
Once family has own party, which is seemingly quite often, no chance to sleep as the space is connected and the noise disturbs a lot. More flexibility from the personnel in terms of checking out would be welcome.

We had a short one-night stay at this small village hotel and it exceeded our expectations. The staff was incredibly friendly, leaving the key out for us and serving us breakfast despite our late wake-up. The room, especially the bed, was exceptionally comfortable. The location, nestled between a stunning waterfall and picturesque gorges, added to the overall charm of our stay.
Can't recommend highly enough this hotel.

The place was really peaceful and quiet. The rooms are nice and equipped in everything you need during a day or two. The highlight of our stay was the dinner, started with a lovely apero and followed by great 4 courses. The breakfast was really nice too.
Just the location, which is not around anything else, you just go there to spend the night and for dinner, no chance to go out for a drink or even have a stroll...

Lovely bed and breakfast with excellent tv available for English speaking guests in the heart of the French/Swiss Alps in a very small and quiet countyside town - Vernayez which is just outside of Martigny. We day tripped for skiing each day. The rooms are clean and comfortable and very large with all amenities. Bob and Cecile were wonderful hosts. Breakfast was lovely each day. We did not sample the gourmet dinner as we were skiing each day in various areas and could not be home in time nor stay up that late. Guests were laughing and dining and seemed to be having a wonderful time late into the evening. We stayed 4 nights. Thank you Bob and Cecile!

Friendly people and rooms were spacious and comfortable.
Felt that the 'extras' we had (tea coffe on arrival and cold meat platter) were expensive and not good value for money.
